Two Kassam rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip into Israel overnight Saturday, Israel Radio reported. The rockets exploded in open areas in the western Negev. There were no reports of casualties or damage. ‘Color Red’ warning sirens were heard in Sderot following the launch. Israel responded to the terrorist attack by destroying more smuggling tunnels… On Friday evening Israeli planes intercepted a vehicle which was transporting rockets to be fired into the country. In a statement released directly after the strike, the IDF said that the terrorists had exited the vehicle and were unloading weapons when the IAF fired missiles at them. The IDF added that the three had been involved in launching rockets into Israel in recent weeks. Hours after the IAF strike on the vehicle that killed three members of a terrorist cell, Palestinians fired several Kassam rockets into southern Israel on Saturday morning. The rockets struck open areas in the Eshkol region, causing no casualties.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit sent a message to the UN Security Council last week, reiterating his support for non-proliferation and imploring the 15 member countries to investigate Israel’s nuclear capabilities, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry revealed Wednesday. Emphasizing that Israel has yet to sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty, Gheit stressed the importance of setting a time frame for a nuclear-free Middle East. Has the push for Israel to disclose and disband its nuclear program started and if so will the rest of the countries in the Middle East follow suit or will they continue to build their arsenals and continue to condemn Israel?

The Goldstone report slammed Israel and briefly addresses Hamas… surprised? You shouldn’t be. Accused of war crimes Israel once again is made out to be the bad guy, the one at fault when in actuality they were doing what any other country would have done long before. How many Kassams do you think would have to be fired from Tijuana, Mexico into San Diego before my favorite taco stand would be leveled… would it take 10,000 rockets and eight years? Will there be a Goldstone report for Iraq or Afghanistan? I don’t remember what the Goldstone report said about the fighting in Georgia or if Russia was condemned for the more than 2,000 people, mostly Russian citizens, who had died in the conflict zone, do you?
One must, at least ask himself, ‘So why Is Israel singled out?” Why does Israel need to give back land it won in a defensive war? In all of history has any other government been asked to give back land, so why here ? I don’t think California will be going back to Mexico any time soon, do you?
