“As the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did. He left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.”
He left nothing undone of all that the L-RD had commanded… Oh may that be said of you and of me, of us. But where did Joshua get the ability to complete all that G-D commanded. Zachariah give us some insight… ”So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the L-RD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts. It was not by Joshuas abilities but rather by the spirit of G-D working through him. And where did he get the spirit of G-D from? I thought you’d never ask.
Remember when the children of Israel have sinned while Moses was up on the mountain receiving the Ten Commandments from G-D? Who was sitting on the lower part of the mountain waiting in the presents of the L-RD… Joshua.
Remember when Moses came down from the mountain to find the golden calf that had been made and he moved the tent of meeting out of the camp of the Israelites, remember what it said about Joshua? “Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.
Joshua even as a young man waited on the L-RD, in the presents of the L-RD and while he waited he couldn’t help but to be filled with the spirit of the L-RD. You can’t be in the presents of the L-RD without Him changing you.
Joshua wondered and waited in the presents of the L-RD for forty years until that unbelieving generation died in the wilderness. The question is how long am I willing to wait, how long are you willing to sit in the presents of the L-RD and just wait? One last thought…
“But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
