Ps 62:1,2

“To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waits upon G-D: from him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.”

The chief musician’s name was Jeduthun; translated to English, his name means “praising”. Jeduthun was a G-D praising man, and I am sure his heart was overwhelmed when King David gave him this song to lead the choir in singing!

“Truly my soul waits upon G-D: from him comes my salvation.” Not only for the ultimate salvation for our souls must we wait on the L-RD, but from the daily trials and tribulations we must wait on the L-RD for our salvation.

“From Him comes my salvation.” I can try to circumvent my problems or figure out a way out of my problems, but true salvation comes from the L-RD. I must be willing to wait on Him and go through what He wants me to go through, to learn what I must learn, to realize my salvation from that temptation, that problem, that addiction or what ever it may be.

“He only is my only hope, my only rock and only in Him will we find our salvation. He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.” There is no other place to seek refuge, there is no other person to deliver me, He is my defense, my rock. I can anchor my trust, my hope only on Him, and I will find, you will find, we will find our salvation in him and only in Him.
