“ Your mercy, O L-RD, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Psalms 36:5
The G-D of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is a faithful G-D, even when we aren’t. David tells us in the twenty third Psalm that the L-RD has a rod and a staff; a staff for leading and a rod for correcting and defending His sheep. When people say “G-D is punishing me” I cringe… As a child my father from time to time had to correct me, to try to change my bad habits. I saw it as “punishment”, he saw it as correction.

Jeremiah 29:11 tell us “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace
and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. G-D is not sitting in heaven waiting for you to step out of line so He can smack you, rather He is a loving Father who wants the very best for us and loves us enough to do what it take to change our bad, or sinful habits.
