As we all wait for the ground invasion to begin, anxiety builds for our safety and the safety of our troops. Threats from outside powers and promises from allies swirl back and forth.

People that have relocated to hotels are struggling with finding their needs met, worried about where to move next and how to pay for it. Anxiety levels are high and tempers short. You moved, you thought out of harm’s way, only to find you are still a target just without your own bomb shelter or comforts of home.

Police Department Before and After

We were able to make a trip to the market today. There were few shoppers and many items are not available, but they are doing their best to keep the essentials available for us. Bread is not available BUT we were able to pick up ten fresh hot pita.  I found a bread recipe that looked easy enough to make so I thought I would give it a shot. I was a cook in the army for thirteen years. I did bake deserts every day, but not bread so, this was a first for me.

Not To Bad For the First Try

I said we went shopping today. We picked up food for a gentleman that can’t get out, the one we spoke about yesterday. Needless to say, he was brought to tears over our gesture, which is only made possible by YOUR love and kindness. His dinner tonight was fish and chips, which we got to him still hot.

We are starting to get more calls for help and we will do our best to meet those needs. Your help during this trying time makes it possible for us to reach out to those who come to us for help. Thank you in advance for your love, prayers and support.
