Geneses 12: 1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation…
Geneses 15: 2 But Abram said, “Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless…
Geneses 16:1 Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar. So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of

Sarai…
Geneses 16:4 So he went in to Hagar, and she conceived…
Geneses 17:5 “No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations…
Geneses 17:18,19 And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!” Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him…

Over the years I have on more then one occasion gone in to a Hagar. Not willing to wait on the perfect timing of the L-RD and taken matters into my own hands. Today I have my Ishmael’s running around. When G-D gives His word, gives us a promise, He will keep it, He always has and always will. We need to wait with hearts full of trust, expectation and hope.
So why is it so hard to “Wait” for G-D? Why do I think it needs to be done now? How long did Avraham wait for his Yitz’chak, how long did David wait for the crown of Israel, how long will the L-RD have you wait for you son of promises?
I am a cabinet maker by trade. In my early years I used to think, “If it doesn’t fit get a bigger hammer”. As I got older what I realized is if does not go together easy, something is wrong and if I force it to go together I will only have to take it apart later because something was wrong when I got that bigger hammer.
There is a phrase used in Tanakh, in the Bible and it says… “And in the process of time it came to pass that…” That process of time, in most cases for me, is the time G-D needs to prepare me for His blessing.
Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint…
It’s His word, His promises!
