The Fall Feasts Are Here

The Feast of Yom Taruah

As we make our way through the Fall Feasts, we are thankful for the ability you have given us to help the less fortunate in Sderot. Because of you, we get the hugs from the single parent who was beside themselves, wondering how they would provide for their children for the holidays.

Because of you, we got to see the joy on the faces of children who received a gift package and their father’s joy as he showed us the video.

Because of you, we saw tears flow as they received their holiday gift envelope.

When you have very little and no place to turn for help, when someone knocks on your door and hands you what you need to make it through the holiday, there are no words to explain or convey the hope you just brought them.

When students with learning disabilities received a gift package that you provided, their joy almost knocked Eti over as they all rushed to hug her.

Through your love, kindness, and support, we were once again able to bring Hope For Sderot. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share your love.

In just a few days, we will enter into the seven-day feast of Sukkot. Also known as the Feast of Tabernacles or Feast of Booths, it begins Friday, Sept. 25, 2026. Sukkahs (the booths GOD commands us to build) are being erected in anticipation of the holiday. With your help, we can once again support those who are less fortunate. Thank you in advance for your love and support.

It Breaks My Heart

I got a phone call from my wife; this is the message ….

Mazel called and told me Hava’s husband had a stroke. He is now paralyzed on his right side. She needs help with adult diapers, mattress cover pads, and baby wipes. Can we help?

Hava is a little thing, maybe all of four feet eight and maybe seventy pounds soaking wet. Hava is in her mid-to-late sixties. She has a son in his thirties; he has Down Syndrome. Her husband was a big man and could take care of his son’s daily needs, help dress him, and take him out for fresh air and sunshine. He used to feed him, and they would just hang out together. That has all stopped. Now David also needs help with those very same things.

To see David lying on the couch motionless, his son in a wheelchair, and to see Hava beside herself in tears, it breaks my heart.

We will do whatever we can to help them, whether it’s providing disposable incontinence pads, a visit, or a hot meal. Through your love and support, we will do our best to be there for them.

Soldier Support

When it is time to make room for new inventory, Elo, the owner of The Influencer, calls us to pick up the items he wants to get rid of. All new merchandise in its original container. He gives us everything, from dishes and storage containers to seasonal inventory, disposable plates, and utensils. This time, he gave us 30 bath towels.   We purchased 10 more, and Eti put together 40 gift packages for our female soldiers.  He also gave us some Yom Taruah packages; all they needed was goodies inside, which Eti put in.

We delivered them to our soldiers this past Friday morning, just hours before they were headed back to Gaza.

Lonely Soldiers

The IDF has what they call “lonely Soldiers”. These are young men and women, or should I say, boys and girls, who have left their families and come to Israel to join the IDF on their own and to make a new life.

Because they have no family in Israel, they are given “lonely soldier” status. The IDF gives them a small stipend to cover some of their living expenses, but not enough to cover them all.

We do our best to help support these young soldiers in any way we can. Clothing, holiday food, and support to let them know they are not alone, not to mention our thanks for putting their lives on the line to defend us.

THANK YOU!!!

Everything we do every day is made possible by your love and support. There are no big institutions that support us, just those of you who read our newsletters and whose hearts are moved to help, and for that, we are forever thankful!
