“Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days. And no leavened bread shall be seen among you, nor shall leaven be seen among you in all your quarters.” Exodus 13:7

With Pesach being only a few days away, we need to start making preparation ourselves here at Hope for Sderot. We have examined the items we have on our shelves and have determined which items are Kosher for Pesach and which are not. Which items we can give out over the next two week and which items we need to find a substitute for.

The Kosher for Pesach has been put on one side of the Moxson and all the non Kosher for Pesach on the other side. Later on this week, we will cover all the shelves that have no “Non Kosher for Pesach” food on them, in keeping with Exodus 13:7 that no leaven shall be seen among you in all your quarters.

The Matza, Matza meal, Horoset, coconut cookies and kiddush wine have been brought in.  The final arrangements with our farmer friend have been made, and we will pick up potatoes and tomatoes from him this week.

And once again the word of G-D will be fulfilled… “So you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this same day I will have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an everlasting ordinance.” Exodus 12:17
